Dates all haywire

The dates on my email inbox are mixed up. The date of the topmost inbox is 2031. The other dates are missing, they just say the day of the week.  How can I fix this? I have to use the search facility to find messages

Have you tried clicking on the button "Date" in the menu bar to see if this restores the correct dates?
