Re: Dumb question from newbie

Hi Thanks for all that- I have found the advanced settings and have put in everything as you have advised but I am getting a small box popping up asking for Network password. I've put my BT password in here but not accepted. ANy ideas?

This was one of the reasons I changed my account because my former ISP weren't able to advise me what to put in here (Talk Talk couldn't answer for Tesco customers even though they had taken over their accounts)

Not sure why you are getting a popup for a 'Network' password. Can you post a screenshot of the popup please, mask any personal details, if it shows any, before posting though.

You were recommended to enter your details manually, not to Test Account Settings as you are doing. It is more reliable.

Re: Dumb question from newbie

Hi

Yes - I had deleted my user name for privacy before I did the screenshot

The server address comes up with mail.btinternet.com     (which I entered on the first screen given to me after selecting to manualy input the details. This is greyed out and picks it up from the field of input so I can't overtype my full BT email address.

Yes I did the manual input but still got a button saying test settings hence the test.
