Email Sub-accounts not being fully deleted

Hi,

I manage my Golf Club email addresses (sub-accounts) and have recently had a clean-up, removing 4 old email addresses that are no longer required.  I have just been into my account to create a new email address for a new member fo staff and found that the deleted accounts still exist and the page tells me that I have used 12 of my 11 available addresses.

I guess the first question is, have I mistakenly assumed that deleting old addresses would free up space in my original allocation?

If that is correct, how do I get this corrected in order to create the new address?

If not, then what alternatives do I have for creating new addresses?

The system is broken and does not delete it timely even after you press delete and wait 60 days. The mods can help here in raising a case to deleting your 4 accounts manually and then your slots should free up again.

If your email sub-acounts do not delete and free up the running tally, after 60 days in the first instance you need to contact BT Customer Services and ask them to help. They should be able to clear them from your account.

Hi @WestEndGc,

Welcome to the Community and thanks for your post!

Sorry that the email addresses you tried deleting are still showing up against your allowance.  To answer your first question, you are not mistaken.  Deleting the mailboxes should have done exactly that and freed up the space in your allowance.  This isn't something the Community will be able to help with so you can send us over your details and we'll get you sorted.

I called the office on the number that you gave me but I didn't get through. Possibly closed on a Sunday.

I've removed the email addresses that were due to be deleted already. Can you confirm that all of them are gone for me please? Do you need any other help or are you happy to close your ticket? Smiley Happy

Thanks very much for your help. I can confirm that all unneeded email addresses have been removed.
