Email bounce back from @btinternet address

Hi 

 

Senders to my @btinternet.com email address are getting a bounceback with the following message 

 

 550 Message rejected for policy reasons (1.1.1.4)

 

Any advice on how I can this this ?

Correspondence about this started 5th Jan by "Yellowfish". No satisfactory progress as far as I'm concerned!

Yes I am also getting this but there is something odd. A message sent from a valid domain is being bounced with a strange Tucows address somehow getting into the loop

 

<xxxxx@btinternet.com>: host mx.bt.lon5.cpcloud.co.uk[65.20.0.49] said: 550

    Message rejected for policy reasons (1.1.1.4) - Please check you have

    authority to send email from 216.40.42.17 on behalf of the domain

    MySendingDomain.com. Guide for bulk senders www.bt.com/bulksender (in

    reply to MAIL FROM command)

 

The 216 address is registered to Tucows Canada - this email should not have been routed anywhere near there!

that was a painful 30 mins, BT claim this isn't their issue, despite the 550 message appearing to come from a BT MTA..
