Email hacked?

Hi. I just literally received about 80 scam emails. Checked on my phone. I have blocked them all. When I try to log into my account on my laptop to change my password, I am temporarily locked out. Bit it's been well past the time they said to wait (20 minutes) and I tried again. Same thing. Did BT recognise that my email was hacked and put a block on my account? Or did the hackers do this?!

Re: Email hacked?

Receiving scam emails does not automatically mean that your email account has been hacked.

There are millions of scam emails sent out by scammers every day.

If you can access your email account on your phone it obviously means that your password is still working and has not been changed by anybody.

There may just be a problem with the BTMail servers. When that happens you are best not to try and change your password as that can cause problems.

Check again if you can send and receive emails on your phone and if you can just leave things alone, do not try to change your password and try accessing your email account on your laptop in a few hours time.
