Email issues

I have a BT email account, moved to SKY but all important emails still going to BT email address so linked them all together. Everything fine for past 2 weeks, yesterday non stop notofications saying you need to log in your credentials, then it came back saying incorrect email / password. Which I know it isnt as it is securly saved. Can anyone advise, I did send an email from another gmail address to bt account it has not come through. Thanks

Re: Email issues

when you moved to SKY you must have received an email from BT about your email account being downgraded to basic unless you paid for premium mail.  if you did nothing then you can now only access your email using web mail - apps no longer work

Re: Email issues

Thanks for the information, yes I got that email. Some emails are coming through but it asks me to log in credentials ie: email and password which it will not accept. That does not make sense.

Re: Email issues

SO many differing opinions on what happens when you leave BT - someone told me the email address would close in 60 days, someone else said it would remain as a basic service like Hotmail (but only accessed via the website) and technical support told me it would still be accessible via the BT email app. All of that is a lie as they have now closed down our basic email and I can no longer access it!

Leaving BT is a farce!!!

Re: Email issues

BTMail Basic is only accessible from a web browser and not email clients or apps including the BTMail app,

See link and sub links about the BTMail products and what happens when you leave BT.
