Here we go again, I'm using Thunderbird for email and today I cannot login. Webmail works ok as usual.
I wish I had a penny for every time this problem rears it's ugly head, why oh why do we have to put up with BT's crappy support for 3rd party Email clients?

Are you a BT Broadband customer or paying for your email through a BT Premium email account?
Have you checked that you are using the correct settings in Thunderbird?
I have the same very annoying problem. I cannot set up a BT account in Mail. I have tried both ways: Yahoo and Other. All i get is an account called Outlook 2 which does not receive my BT mail.

No, I don't use another third party app except, BlueMail through which I can set up a BT account (so why not in Mail?)
Yes, I have checked all the settings and they are correct, nothing has changed at my end since yesterday when all was working fine.
This is a recurring problem with the BT mail servers that I have experienced many times over the years. I have no doubt it will correct itself given time.

OK. It was just in case you weren't and your email account had been downgraded which could have caused your problem.
As you have said, the best thing now is to just wait and see if the problem resolves its self.
