We joined BT a month ago and since then have spent at least 8 hrs on the phone to them trying to get email working - it will recieve but not send. The forums are full of people with the same problem. All you get when you ring BT is a heavily accented person speaking very quietly from a script that basically knows nothing. We've been through the escalation teams, the 'security team', and keep ending up back to square one with another person reading from a script. As it stands we can't wait to dump them. Has anybody got a solution?
It would help if you could post how you are accessing your email
Is it via webmail or an email client?
What make and model of device and what operating system are you using.
I have notified the moderators of the forum about your problem. Once they have read this they may be able to help. They are a BT UK based team and if they can help they will reply via this thread asking you to contact them via a link. Once you have replied to them by the link, it can at present take five working days for them to re-contact you.
