Is there a problem with BT email today 27th October 2019?
Using WLM2012 I am unable to access my BT email. I have run WLARP.
Logged out and in to BT email.
I am able to login to BT email and access email but not when using WLM2012
On live chat, I was informed there is a problem and to wait 24 hours.
On Twitter I was informed that BT do not support Windows email which I been using WLM2012 for years to access mail.
Please can someone tell me if there is a problem with BT mail.
Thanks.

Hi.
Are you BTYahoo or BTMail? Webmail login shows a Yahoo image top left next to BT for BTYahoo.
As you can login to webmail, there is no problem with your email or password. The forum advice (if with BTYahoo) is to do nothing, no password changes, no settings changes. Typically this access failure clears itself after a few hours to a few days. If you're using more than one device, stop them all from auto-checking for emails and only check one, say every hour or so. Only when you get access try the next device.
When BT say they don't support a mail client, they mean that they are unable to offer help on that product.
Make sure you are using the correct settings as per this link
As you may be aware WLM is no longer supported by Microsoft so it may be worth considering a different email client.
26TH October 2019 Lost my internet connection, it was restored after about 10 minutes.
27th October WLM2012 will not connect. (Invalid username or password)
Logged in to BT webmail, Inbox and Deleted items folders empty.
Logged out and In.
Inbox and Deleted items folders back to normal.
28th October logged in to BT webmail to find the following information on the page,,,
"We are Revamping email to make it even better"
Seems that may be the problem. Other users have reported the same problem.
I am now using an alternative method of accessing mail.
Please consider this thread Closed. Not marked as a solution.
The revamping of the webmail interface should have no impact on mail clients, it is probably just one of the 'normal' mail glitches that rights itself after a few days.
I am still using WLM2012 for some email addresses without problem.
Thanks, I agree, it has happened previously, will wait and see.

Update on this problem, I have now managed to access WLM2012.
Solution was to change my BT password.
Which may indicate it was caused at the BT end.
Outlook would not sync with BT until the password was changed.
Thanks for popping back.
Password change is typically the next step after the "do nothing for a few days" recommendation.
The reason why (no change) or password change kicks the account into life to access it via apps/clients has never been investigated by BT - or at least never relayed what causes the problem.
To me it implies some form of account corruption or even security lockout for apps/clients.
Is your account definately BTMail? This fault is nearly always associated with BTYahoo accounts :-
