Emails disappear from Inbox after one month

My husband shares our btinternet account but with his own email address.  Recently emails have started disappearing from his Inbox after about one month (this doesn't happen on my email address).  However, all his Sent emails are still available.  I can't find anything in Settings that looks like it is causing this.  There are no emails in his Archive.  Any suggestions to rectify this would be most welcome!

Just logged into my account and the layout has changed. While some of my folders are listed others have disappeared and all appear to be empty. Have asked for help in the chat box and expect a reply in an hour

I think if you have a new layout you will have been changed to the new version of Webmail that BT has been warning us about for some time. My and my husband's email is still the old version
