Emails in Windows 10 not sent but get redirected to drafts folder

Go to solution

Hi there Trying to advise my Dad ( who is 94 and doing really well with his computer) why he can receive  emails but can't send them - he gets an error message from Windows saying that it has put them in his Drafts folder - and this is rightly mistifying him !

Any help,please?

Kind regards

Mark

Is your dad a BT Broadband customer or paying for his email through a BT Premium email account?

Is he using his email by logging onto a web browser or is he using an email client/app such as the Windows Mail app?

Hi there. Thanks for replying, he is a BT broadband customer, and prefers to use Windows Mail because that's what he is more familiar with.

He was trying to forward an email with a video in it when he got his that message I think

Many thanks

Mark

To establish if it is a BT problem or the Windows Mail app can you get him to try logging onto his email account using a browser (webmail) and have him try and send the email.
