Error message: Sorry we don't recognise this email

My main email address which I use every day is all of a sudden not being recognised. I normally access it through Thunderbird - all the other bt accounts are working, but not this one. Nor can I access it through the yahoo website - I just get the message "Sorry we don't recognise this email". Nor have I been able to access it on my Ipad. Has Bt deleted this account for some reason? How do I get it back?

If you look at the webmail log on page you will see this from BT "We're aware of intermittent problems logging in to BTYahoo webmail, sorry if you're affected. We're working to fix it as soon as possible."

Thank you. I tried out something suggested in response to a different post  - logging onto my yahoo account through a different subaccount -  and was able to reactivate my main email account that way.
