Gobbledegook in emails I send

I am finding that quite often when I send an email, it is received with a load of 'gobbledegook' such as:

"Times New Roman";color:#333333;mso-font-kerning:0pt;mso-fareast-language:EN-GB">Hi all,

"Times New Roman";color:#333333;mso-font-kerning:0pt;mso-fareast-language:EN-GB">

"Times New Roman";color:#333333;mso-font-kerning:0pt;mso-fareast-language:EN-GB">Here is some news and reminders for you about trips coming up next month and in October.

Anyone any ideas how this can be corrected?

What software are you using to send e-mail. Outlook ? Gmail in a browser ?

You have a HTML problem but I cannot suggest how to sort it without knowing a bit more.

Thanks for your reply. I was copying word docs in rich text which was causing the problem.
