I used to have a BT account

I used to have a BT account some time ago and setup an email -**********@btinternet.com. This was working  ok and I then moved to Talktalk and setup an email with them - **********@aim.com. This was working fine as I was receiving emails from both BT & Talktalk email addresses. Have BT deleted or stopped me using my BT email - **********@btinternet.com as I am not receiving emails from btinternet.com anymore.

If not, can you reactivate my BT Email address please as I don't really want to change all my Email addresses to aim.com.

Thanks.

Re: I used to have a BT account

Hi Paul,

Bt would have suspended your email after 90 days from close of your account and deleted it after another 60 days. 150 days in total. If still within that timeframe you can contact BT premium mail and pay for your @btinternet email address, in which case in can be reinstated.

Otherwise it is gone for good.

Hope this helps

Regards

Gary

Re: I used to have a BT account

@paul70devey If you've left BT Broadband your email will remain active for 60 days after you leave. In order to keep your @btinternet email address you would have needed to move your email over to the paid premium mail service which costs £7.50 per month. If this hasn't been done within 60 days of your BT broadband account closing then your email address will have been permanently deleted and it can't be recovered or moved to the premium mail service.

Hi.

Just to confirm, the timescales you've quoted are for non use of an email address still associated with a BTBroadband account or Premium email - account closure is different.
