IS THIS EMAIL GENUINE FROM YAHOO

Was advised to change my password by BT, have now changed my password and received an email below from Yahoo and not BT is this correct? and is the email below genuine, now worried!  the email from Yahoo reads:-

 

Your password for this account has recently been changed. You don't
need to do anything, this message is simply a notification to protect
the security of your account. 

Please note: your new password may take awhile to activate. If it
doesn't work on your first try, please try it again later.

DO NOT REPLY TO THIS MESSAGE.

You can always change your password by doing the following:

1. Sign in to your cobranded service
2. Go to My Account
3. Choose "Change Password"

The mail is genuine, Yahoo still provide mail facilities for some BT customers. Scammers are hardly likely to send you a mail confirming changing a password. Presumably your new password works ok,i f so, it must have been changed at a genuine location.
