Obviously BT customer services do not check or read the forum or if they do they do not give a monkies?
This is a BT residential customer to customer forum. Your post does not go to BT. The only BT staff are the forum moderators who do not necessarily read all the posts.
I have notified the moderators of the forum about the problem. Once they have read this they may be able to help. They are a BT UK based team and if they can help they will reply via this thread.
thanks for the update, I tried to contact by for help on this but was told they could not help as I was a bt premium email customer only. No email address to contact them on, typical if they had one I would be able to forward all the spam. Curiously another post has described all the same emails that I have also received e.g vanquish Teresa Sanderson etc blocking and setting rules does nothing, very poor service
I get the same. BT do not seem interested in it either. Marking as spam is pointless , and blocking the address is the same. The BT blocking system just does not work. I have also tried to set up a 'rule' to auto delete e.mails. Again this does not work as it just returns the message 'error has occurred' please try later. that was 4 weeks ago , and BT seem unable to fix any problems.
Has anyone found a way of dealing effectively with spam?
also has anyone had spam supposedly from their own e.mail address?
I have noted that the supposed address of most of the spam changes when I try to put the 'ineffective' blockin on. Its just a battle.

Interesting. I now also have spam emails coming from my own email address.
That's not a new thing, but it is easy to block by setting up a filter to delete emails "from" yourself - most people will never send emails to themselves.
