We have put together a short survey to capture your feedback in terms of what BT can do when you experience home Wi-Fi issues. We would appreciate it if you could take a couple of minutes to complete a short survey. Read more from here, Fix my home Wi-Fi
This email purports to come from "Certified E-Mail" and threatens to block my access to Bt Internet email account from Feb 28 -- in five days even though this is the first I've heard about it -- if I don't click on the link to accept some policies. This is the first I've heard of this and it seems dodgy. Also when I click on the sender the actual address is 'firstname.lastname@example.org' which sounds like a hoaxer to me.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Just a warning that I've received a scam email with a subject line of "Certified E-Mail" telling me that if I don't click a link to accept the new terms of service then I will lose access to my account. On my phone / tablet I couldn't hover over the many links so I've fired up my aged laptop and sure enough, half an hour later, I was able to hover over the links and they were all dodgy.
**Here's the text of the email with the links removed**
Dear Btinternet User
You can learn more about what these policies mean for you here, as well as more about the changes in our FAQs.
In order to continue to access your BT Mail account after February 28th-2021, you will need to confirm you accept the Terms of Service. We also need a few moments of your time to explain how we manage your data and provide you with some choices in relation to the processing of that data.
Thank you for your time and cooperation.
We hope to hear from you soon,
Your BT Community Team
I got exactly the same message, one of the many start dates for the termination of service had already passed when I received the original mail and I ignored it - see also the comments by rotarua and myself on this website/`my email service was then suspended with no warning or any explanation and after two phone calls to BT customer service I am still awaiting reconnection. I am very new to this forum so apologise if I have filed this in the box.Hopefully someone will address our concerns.
