Issues with deleting emails

I have lots of emails in my inbox - I highlight them to delete them, hit delete. Go into my bin and delete them from there. I then do a search again and they are still in my inbox - they haven't been deleted! Help! this has been going on for about a month now. I have a standard BT Internet account.

Re: Issues with deleting emails

Hi @KellyHarrison.

Welcome to the community.

Do you have the same thing happen if you try to delete emails individually or is it just happening when you try to delete in bulk?

Re: Issues with deleting emails

Hello @Michael_D

It's very strange, I have just tried it on 1 deletion, 2 deletions, 10 deletions and 30 deletions to test the water. It happens to all of them, any amount. It lets me delete them and then delete them from the trash. All is well until I then  go out of BT email and click back later and they have reappeared. It's hugely frustrating as I have about 800 I need to clean out but I can't !

Re: Issues with deleting emails

Is this when you use BTMail with a browser or are you using an email client/app?

How are you deleting the emails from Trash? Are you emptying the whole Trash by clicking on the dustbin icon when you hover over the Trash folder or are you selecting the email within the Trash folder then selecting the "Delete" button in the menu bar?

Re: Issues with deleting emails

I have presumed you are using a web browser to access your BTMail account when this happens. Is that correct?

Do you use your email on more than one device and if so what type of device and are you using an email client/app on that device?

Which web browser are you using and have you tried using a different web browser?
