Locked out of emails and mail forwarding was turned on

This is the second time someone has changed my password and locked me out of my 2 email accounts, I have got them both back now and mail forwarding was turned on to the email sky***ven1 @ etc. I have removed the forwarding email address and changed both my passwords to random words and numbers and both different, one thing I did notice is that my profile contact is correct but when I was trying to recover the accounts both had had a digit changed so the number the recovery would send to would never get to me. How can I change this back as I do not know where to look. One of my accounts is a business email and will have banking details on there somewhere, but I am more worried about customers getting spoof emails claiming to be me asking for them to send money, what do I do?

I think the best way forward is to contact BT and speak to the technical team who will be able to help with email issues and make sure everything is secure

Log onto your MyBT and go to your profile and change the recovery details there.

Your MyBT may have been compromised so make sure to change the password for that.
