Getting exactly the same problem, it let me reset my password but still won't let me in.
Yes I tried to change my password on one of my email addresses , let me change it and still cannot log in still getting the red box with message in
Same problem, started this morning - can't login on desktop PC but can on laptop and mobile devices.
Other browsers also do not work.
BT UK rep Dee.H. just informed me the issues are likely due to the changes they have made to their email system this week. She will feed this information back.
I have a similar problem. BT updated their email. When I try to log in it tells me the password is wrong. I change the password but the same thing happens. I rang customer services and they could not help. They said they would send a new password in the post. I am over 70 years old and sheltering due to Covid 19. I haven't left the house for over two months. I will not be going out for several weeks yet. I now cannot communicate with family, friends or suppliers who deliver to us. This is awful. A problem caused by BT that they cannot resolve and just leave me abandoned.
Steve38, I was able to request and change my password but it still won't let me in with the new one, the same error message comes up.
Seems that changes BT have made today effectively means it is no longer possible to access you email or even My BT with the Firefox browser. I tried using the latest Microsoft Edge version and this worked. Very annoying since I use Firefox as my default browser.
Just hope that somebody from BT is monitoring this forum and sorts this mess they have made out.
I too use firefox as my default browser as do three other members of my family.
