What folders have become lost?

Can you still send and receive emails on your iPhone?

Which app are you using?

How did you lose them. Did you do something or what event took place to make them disappear?

Have you tried restarting your iphone?

Re: Lost email folders

Originally I wasn’t able to send emails they were just being ‘parked’in My outbox so I switched off iPhone and logged back but no change. The stupidity I read on the internet to delete my mailbox account and add it again. I can now send emails from my iPhone although they don’t show on my iPad and I can receive emails on my iPhone that don’t show on my iPad I just click on the mail icon on both normally and they have always been synced

I presume you have set the account up as POP3 rather than IMAP on your iPhone. If so, delete the account again and set it up as IMAP.

Re: Lost email folders

After you have deleted the email account from your phone see link how to set up you phone.

Follow it to the letter and ensure you use IMAP and not POP3.

Re: Lost email folders

I haven’t changed  anything on the phone and wouldn’t know how to find imap or pop3  (not knowingly) I have had the phone over a year.  I had a quick look in settings but couldn’t find it.

Re: Lost email folders

You have stated that you deleted the email account and set it up again. That is when it will have changed from IMAP to POP3

Re: Lost email folders

As stated previously, you can't change it on the fly, you have to delete the account again and set it up in accordance with the instructions provided by @gg30340
