I'm sorry you're having problems resetting your email password.  I have sent you a private message with instructions on how you can send us over your details and we'll look into this for you. See: Private messages

I'm not quite sure what has happened. I've had a BT email this morning saying I've made a complaint and giving me a VOL number.

I'm not complaining - I just want to know if I can change thepassword on a subaccount. I didn't want to cause a fuss.
