Re: Message refused

Try turning off your BT Hub for 30 minutes and when you re start it you should have been issued with a new IP address and hopefully connected to a different BT email server which may resolve this problem.

Re: Message refused

Thanks..but it even refuses hours later using phone data. Message is to 44 recipients.  Less than the 49 limit set by BT.

Re: Message refused

Can you send individual emails or is it happening with every email you send.

If you can send individual emails, it would indicate there is a problem with your group sending either in the content of the email or one of the email addresses.

You should try reducing the number of people you are sending it to such as splitting it into two messages to see if that helps to establish where the problem is.

Re: Message refused

This problem will not go away.  I tried to send to 25 recipients (club members) and it was refused.  Error about "check for phishing..."

Reduced the recipients to one (myself at another email address) and still refused.  Even went through mobile phone hotspot using data not wifi, and stiff refused.  Cut back to one word - still refused,  Deleted all text from message and it passed.

Took a copy and sent to only 5.  Still refused.

Last time I managed to sort it by re-tying the text into webmail editor rather than cutting and pasting from a text file.  That worked, and went to all recipients.

Today I typed to a smaller sub group, and again rejected.  Even rejected using a different computer, and re-boot makes no difference.

Getting serious.

Any assistance welcome.  I'll have to contact BT, but not very optimistic.

Re: Message refused

Depending on the source of the original text, mayb it has some embedded HTML code that is being rejected. There are a number of online HTML code strippers available, where you just paste the text into a box & any code will be stripped.

Going forward, Gmail. Also have a look at the free version of Mailchimp for sending to groups.
