No, I was not told what the problem was......And if I were told I probably would not understand the answer unless it could be explained in laymans terms !

Hi DanielS,

I don't know why this frustrating and rather time consuming problem occurred in the first place.

However, on a personal note, thank you for your persistence and help in solving the problem. I can now access my e-mails remotely and via my smart phone.

I now get a persistent message box that pops-up saying "Your BT account settings are out of date".

To the best of my knowledge I have checked and all seems in order but if you can shed any light on this I will endeavour to supply the necessary information.

If the message happens when you are using webmail you should try clearing your browser cache and history. If the problem is still there try another browser just to see if it is a browser problem rather than an email problem.

I take it this error message only happens on your Smart Phone and not on webmail through our website?

Check the following page and make sure these are the settings you have on your phone: Settings for outgoing and incoming BT Email servers

Hi DanielS,

I managed to get rid of the pop up messages on my PC by going to the notifications box at the bottom RH of the task bar.
