It seems only about a week since I was last here because my signature had disappeared from emails I am composing. Distinguished Sage told me how to set it up again. So I went to my mail settings, and the box saying 'Include signature' was ticked! So I spent about half an hour 'chatting' to a chap (or a woman) in India about it on BT Help. Half the time was spent sorting out my password, which I didn't know was different from the one I use to get into my emails and different from the one I use to go into My BT. He gave me a link to my BT email page, but it was the same as the one I use anyway. When I went to 'Compose' I got a blank page (no signature), but when I entered a recipient my signature appeared (Usually my signature is there at the start. So that seemed OK, sort of. But as soon as I said goodbye to the Indian guy and went to 'compose' (or 'reply') to an email, my signature failed to appear. I hate having to type 'Regards, Albert' at the end of every email. It's handy to have the signature. And one more thing, when i type my signature, I now get a dialog box I never used to get asking me if I want to go to Plain Text as my signature is in Plain Text. What's that all about?
Solved! Go to Solution.
The dialog box says "Do you want switch to plain format since the signature is plain text?" I am now getting my signature when I enter a recipient. I would like to have put this in my first post, but there doesn't seem to be an edit button.
Try going to Settings (click on your e-mail address in top right corner, then select settings)
Then go to Mail > Signatures and Edit your Signature. Change it to "Rich" instead of "Plain".
