HELP. I AM DESPERATE. I CANNOT LOG IN TO MY EMAIL ACCOUNT.
DESKTOP COMPUTER, WINDOWS 10, BT YAHOO MAIL. SAYS NOT INSTALLED CORRECTLY.
IT WORKED FOR THREE WEEKS AFTER UPGRADE TO WINDOWS 10.
HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING, INCLUDING CHANGE OF PASSWORD. NOT RECOGNISED.
AS A BT CUSTOMER OF MANY YEARS, I AM GOING CRAZY. I NEED MY EMAIL.

How are you accessing your email. Is it through a web browser or are you using an email client?
What says "Not Installed Correctly"?

No access whatsoever. Had a message been compromised.
What happens whe you try to log on, do you get any message?
Why do you think it's been compromised?
What happened the first time you tried to log on before you tried to change your password?
It does not recognise my log in name / password
I had a message to run a security scan; change password; as email compromised.
It all worked for 3 weeks after upgrade to Windows 10.
I did download kb 3087040 as a stand-alone package.
Also got Outlook on my Account (do not know how ?)
Have email / calendar app (which has a poor rating) and I am having same problems......neither of them work.
Have sync'd and re-sync'd but to no effect
I don't think the KB3087040 update and your email problems are connected but there were/are apparently problems with the download. It might be worth trying to uninstall it then re-install it.
Open the Settings app and select “Update & security.” Under Windows Update, scroll down and select “Advanced options,” and then select “View your update history.” You'll see a list of updates installed and the dates they were installed. Find KB3087040 and uninstall it.
Did you change your log on password or would it not let you?
Have you tried the "forgotten" password in order to change it if need be.
Deleted the update.
Tried to change password several times.

Also have Outlook, which I really do not require, but having accessed their e-mail site, tried to import contacts and sign-in details not recognised.
May wait till morning (22.03 now) to see if it heals itself, otherwise will get the hammer out and smash it all up.
I still have no e-mail access.
The Mail and Calendar icons on Start page do not work. Have sync'd many times.
When I access the Mail icon it says "Btinternet account settings out of date" and keeps requesting a password.
I enter password and nothing happens.
How do I get a new e-mail address from BT ?
And transfer my e-mail contacts that I am unable to access at the moment ?
