Re: Phantom sub accounts

It seems from BTCare that BT yahoo specialist team are having some problems removing the phantoms at the moment.

I'm a bit worried that thats only half the problem the original one that allows one to put it in wrong in the first place needs fixing once they have removed the phantoms. I am also worried they will remove the wrong ones as well but hopefully they'll confirm that they know which ones are phantoms and which ones are good.

Sadly its one of those times you wish you had printed a copy of your original report to BT all I have is the incident report ID.

In addition since they seem to be raising errors against phantoms then if this does fix it those that have not yet reported it will not get it fixed as quick - I guess. So get reporting it ...

Re: Phantom sub accounts

Could you let me know the best way to report this problem officially. So far I have only reported it on this forum.

Nice one, did you do the same as I did and try to enter 10 diferent ones each time getting a weird error see above and changing them slightly until it failed as in the quote.

If so then BT is working on the issue since the 17th when I started to report it in a number of different attempts.

Whilst its taking a long while and I'm still not completely sure they know what needs to be done I do beleive that it will get fixed. I was going to report it to the CEO office but sadly I'm not sure that would fix anything quicker.

Well then if you have reported via a Mods "contact us" link then you will should have an incident report ID and will start receiving emails from BT Care - The incident number looks like

     Incident:123456-001234

and you should be getting emails from them with the title

     BT Community Forum [Incident:123456-001234]

I also reported it to india and insisted on it being record to a VOL fault number that denotes when I first reported it but I'm not sure that the Incident number and the Vol number are cross connected yet as I've had nothing that is referencing that at all although I did inform them of that number, I think.

I have also been informing My Incident CS person of pertinent useful stuff on the trhread as well.

sadly I thinks thats all we can do at the moment unless one wants to get real aggressive and report to the register or the press or god forbid the twitter sphere or whatever they call it.

Re: Phantom sub accounts

Does the fact I reported here on the forum that I too am having this problem mean that my own account will eventually be included in any solution or should I report it elswhere as well?  If so how?

Not if you mean just in this thread as I'm not sure anyone is monitoring this.

I did report some links to here to my CS person but he's away at the moment so unless you have an Incident No then assume they don't know. See the first page and go through Nealo, i think,  "Contact us" you need to click on his profile its at the top left.

Yes. But as said previously I doubt these phantom accounts will be cleared automatically once the original sub-account creation issue is fixed, no doubt they will have to be individually cleared on demand. These accounts seem to be sitting in some unactivated "limbo" phase on Yahoo's systems, and as such are not reported in the customer's sub-account list, albeit they do contribute to the customer's sub-account quota.

I suppose they might delete themselves due to inactivity eventually, but since they are unactivated accounts they may not do this.

The moderators link is only available if the moderator has made it available to you. If you have not been told to click on the link by the moderator you will not see it.

Re: Phantom sub accounts

AAH! Thanks for that I thought I was being obtuse.

I have sent a personal message to PaddyB so perhaps he will provide the link for me.
