Re: Please, please provide the excellent BT Yahoo functionality on the new BT.com

Keith,

On your first link it says "Bear in mind, you may have the problem with your account getting hacked, which is the main reason BT have changed their mail provider".

I didn't realise this, but I can believe it, as that happened to my son's account a couple of months ago. In fact it happened twice in a row and switched to Gmail.

Thanks for the heads up, don't think I'll be making Yahoo! my homepage.

Re: Please, please provide the excellent BT Yahoo functionality on the new BT.com

I couldn't agree more with the complaints of what we have lost.  I don't want wall to wall football, films, and all the other inane stuff which Bt in their "wisdom" have decided we should all have.  What I DO want is the easily organised list of bookmarks which Yahoo provided - not the highly complicated arrangement now in place. I also want a calendar which sends me an e-mail reminder.  My computer is for work not for play.

Re: Please, please provide the excellent BT Yahoo functionality on the new BT.com

The loss of our My Yahoo homepages are hidden behind the phrase which BT had plied us with for months -

"We've changed the way you access your BT Yahoo! Mail "

The changes to BT Yahoo Mail have wiped out our Homepages - mine disappeared overnight of 28th/29th October - and I"m bu**ered if I can find out how to get another page to customise.

Also do not have problem accessing Mail on Yahoo either.

Have you tried the links on this page to see if your home page is still there?

Access your old Yahoo Notepad - e-mail and calendar

October 2013 My Yahoo Homepage has disappeared never to be seen again..?

Under the guise of "We've changed the way you access your BT Yahoo! Mail", My MyYahoo homepage has disappeared,

Why BT? You never told us this was going to happen in all your emails over the last months did you - unless "how you log in to..." qualifies.

Re: October 2013 My Yahoo Homepage has disappeared never to be seen again..?

Hi northerngranny,

As you know BT Retail are in the process of moving away from Yahoo!, at the moment the  BTYahoo login portal and BTYahoo homepage has been closed so access to your BTYahoo personal homepage will no longer be accessible.

At the moment you can still login via http://www.yahoo.co.uk to access a limited number of BTYahoo services that are still operating ,such as bookmarks , until all the BTYahoo services are closed later this year.

Once the BTYahoo services have been closed then you will no longer be able to access these services via Yahoo.

This is explained in this link here http://bt.com/newemail

The BT.com homepage offers you some of the content such as news, weather, ect like the BTYhaoo homepage used to. If you don't like the BT.com homepage then there are many other customisable homepages out there. for example http://yahoo.co.uk

Cheers
