Problem with Security Question and setting favourite email

I am trying to reset my son's email password but the answer to my security question is not being recognised. I have tried lower case, upper case and combinations but with no joy. i'm not even sure that the question asked is the one that I set.

I'm also having problems setting my email as the favourite. i just seem to be going round in circles. I have looked at several posts on this subject but none have solved the problem.

Any ideas ?
