However I have noticed an issue with sent items not appearing in the sent folder.
Let me explain further:
I connected my new BT email with the iOS Outlook app (on two devices) and Mac OS Outlook desktop app (again on two devices). I then noticed that emails sent from one of the desktop apps had not appeared in an iOS app.
So, I check the other desktop app and the emails were there in the sent folder but again in the other iOS app they were not present.
I then logged into the BT email website and here is the twist, the emails were not in that sent folder.
So, am I doing something wrong or is this a known problem?
Your email apps are most likely set up as POP3 accounts. This does not synchronise with other devices so what you send or delete on the POP3 account will not be reflected on your other devices.
If you want all your email apps to synchronise with all your devices and your BTMail account that you check via a browser (web mail) you will need to ensure that your email accounts are are set up as IMAP accounts on your devices email apps.
