You are very lucky. I've been receiving the message for five days now and explored every avenue to no avail. Even someone studying computer science is baffled. He said the server at BT is the problem and it appears to be dead. So much for paying for premium email.

Did your computer scientist suggest that you turn of your BT hub for about 30 minutes so that when it is turned back on it will have been given a different IP address and probably use a different mail server?
