This account corruption is the issue. Password is correct as I can access via webmail using bt.com not mail.yahoo.

It seems a relatively simple fix but.....

It’s need specialist help that despite dozens of calls nobody at BT can do. They keep saying they need to refer to their yahoo colleagues but it’s not happening.

As you have contacted the moderator as requested I would suggest that you no longer contact Customer Service and that you wait until a moderator contacts you once your request for help reaches the top of their work stack.

The moderators will take personal ownership of your problem and will be a "one point of contact" until the problem, what ever it is, is resolved.

Phew!   Well thanks to the Moderators I had a call on Friday assuring me it can and it will be resolved.

This morning I can now access and retrieve my e.mails on Outlook.    So whats changed?  Well in my bt yahoo account (webmail) I now notice that the "original" yahoo email account that has numbers has appeared.    A quick password changed means that now passwords are re synchronising.

 

It is as was explained to me on Friday a bt passord sync issue that needs their intervention by a specialided team.

Yes it does,  but there are several clients sufferring from the same issue - BT just says they are not interested.

 

Question how to get BT to address this issue more proactively.

Hi

 

The issue has resurfaced now affecting my wifes e.mail account which is a sub account of my primary one.  Odd thing is that she can receive and send e.mails on her iphone but not in outlook on the imac.

There have been quite a spate of similar issues recently that seems to affect Apple products. That can't be a coincidence. Of course, it's trying to work out the cause - which might be an internal Apple fault.

I have the same problem. The people at BT technical support are worse than useless. They claim to know nothing about this problem yet the following error message comes from BT:
