I am having to same problem.
Yesterday it cost me £150.00, for an appointment I had cancelled, well it said in the Sent box I had. But.unfortunately they did not receive it.....Don't know what to do??

why not try using gmail or something similar and save all the doubt
Being very naive, what is gmail?would I still use my email address???
Hi, welcome to the forums.
Gmail is Google's email service, and is free to use. You can easily set one up and use that instead of your BTinternet address - though still access the BTinternet one at least once every 90 days, otherwise it can be deleted.
and choose Create account.
It has rarely had any issues it seems, and doesn't suffer the problems BTinternet email has from time to time (no access, emails failing to be received or sent etc).
It has a decent interface using a browser, and also allows access via an email client or app.
