Removing Group label from a Contact

Removing Group label from a Contact - why does BT use the word "DELETE" instead of "REMOVE the GROUP Label " ??

It is misleading, as users frequently assume that DELETE will DELETE the Contact.

Saying "Remove the Group label" - which is not a lot of typing for a computer system to repeat - would clarify the action, and stop a lot of confusion amongst the BT email users

Re: Removing Group label from a Contact

I suppose that the word DELETE is used because the name is being deleted from the  "group label" section/folder so it does not appear to be unreasonable to use that word.

As far as I am aware, you are the only person that has reported on the forum that they are confused in this matter.

When I was looking for how to do it, I found several Questions on the forum asking how - and realised that it was not obvious, even when you are instructed how to do it by the replies.

NB My "Beginner" status refers only to BT Community.

I've been using computing heavily since 1985 - just in case you needed to know that....
