I have received an email which claims to be from BT asking me to login, and update my details because my cost is going up. The email subject was Please Update Your Personal Information 885807739. Failure to log in could result in temporary suspension of my service.
This does not seem genuine. Is is a scam?

It is a scam. BT will never email you to tell you to update your password. If you feel you need to update your password you should do it by logging on through the BT website and NEVER through a link in any email no matter who it says it's from.

Hi.
It's 100% scam as gg30340 says.
There are quite a few doing the rounds, and there will be more. I suspect that scammers will try one in the next few weeks to get people to "Update their settings due to Brexit". These will all be utter hogwash.
Thank you.
