Setting Up Android Email on LG G4

I have just upgraded from a Samsung Galaxy Note on Vodafone to a LG g4 on O2.

I have a number of email accounts, most of which use a third party POP3 server and BT SMTP server. I have tried to configure these manually in the new phone's built in mail client but keep getting error messages. Either Unable to Access Server or Unable to Login to Server.

I can't work out what is wrong as I'm using the same settings as the Samsung and my Outlook account, both of which are working fine.

The settings I've been using (as an example) are:

POP3 server: mail.xxxxx.net (my account's POP3 server)

Security type: Off

Port number: 110

Username: xxxxxxx (my account's POP3 User Name)

Password: xxxxx (my POP3 account's password)

SMTP server: mail.btinternet.com

Security type: SSL (Accept all certificates)

Port number: 465

Require sign-in: Yes

Username: xxxxxx (my BTinternet Username / email address)

Password: xxxxxx (my BTinternet password)

I then get the message: "Setup Incomplete. Cannot connect to server. Check network connection and info, then try again."

I have also tried SSL (Port 465) and No Security (Port 25) but nothing seems to work.

Help! This is dribing me nuts!

Re: Setting Up Android Email on LG G4

Try SSL on its own not SSL (Accept all certificates)
