Slow E Mail delivery

Go to solution

Hi, From time to time I am experiencing slow download of e mails, all of which occur during afternoons.

Initially B B will open up normally, but after say 10 mins or so use, refreshing or removing read mails, there is a pause of some 60-90 seconds (often longer) before the page updates.

On encountering the issue, I have used 'speed check' which suggests no problem !

My PC is not left on standby during daytime, and the issue does not occur during morning use.

Not exactly tec savvy, so cannot establish what might be cause, other than perhaps demand on the network is higher in the afternoons.

Thanks

Hi @OAP41, welcome back, and sorry your emails are slow to download.

Are you using webmail or an email client like Outlook?
Do you have another device that you can test on to see if happens there also.

cheers

Re: Slow E Mail delivery

Hi,   Thanks for your reply.  I am using BT mail  but do not have alternative  device to test.

Have shut PC down and restarted, also turned off router and reset after some 45 minutes.

Seems strange this only occurs in afternoons, even though PC has not been on stand by.

Thanks for your interest.

Re: Slow E Mail delivery

Hi @OAP41, thanks for getting back to me and I take it you're using Webmail and not an email client.

Have you tried clearing your cookies and cache?

Possibly try using a different internet browser?

These may help.

Cheers

John
