Spam Increase

Getting an increase in Spam into Inbox and Spam folder. The spam filters in the server are not learning what is spam and it appears BT are doing nothing about it.

Do you have a question or are you just making a statement?

Re: Spam Increase

A comment which hopefully somebody(moderator) will pickup on and get the powers that be to do something about it. I've never known it so bad.

Re: Spam Increase

Really? You can't have had BT email for very long. The spam filtering has always been dreadful, lurching from one extreme to the other.

Re: Spam Increase

Had it for years it's only been the last 6 to 12 months where it has been dreadful but then BT are only now concerned in transferring everybody to EE and at the same time fleecing loyal customers.

Re: Spam Increase

I too have seen a dramatic increase  especially from the same companies despite blocking their address and domain. I keep all security up to date too. BT tried to send me down the all round the house WiFi with EE but it doesn't work because the signal is so poor with EE.  Contract up for renewal later this year so looking to jump ship if BT doesn't get its act together.

Re: Spam Increase

You are wasting your time blocking spam email and domains. The spam is most likely not coming from the address and domain that you are seeing. You should check the headers of the email in order to find the real sending domain or set up 'rules' to move/delete the spam.

If you are only wanting to move away from BT because of the spam why not just stop using their email service and get a gmail account and use that.
