Spam emails

Go to solution

Is anyone else receiving a large increase in bogus emails? Fortunately they are going straight to the Spam folder but there's an awful lot of them. They are primarily from McAfee Security, allegedly, saying my licence is going to expire. I haven't used McAfee since BTmail switched to Norton. They are just a flaming nuisance. Why are so many getting through? Today alone I've had 14 and counting.

On a similar theme, my BT landline has suddenly been inundated with a massive increase in scam calls. They are primarily from  0203, 0204 and 0208 area codes. Has something happened to BT security processes?

Yes spam has greatly increased. Mainly McAfee and Solar power.

Hopefully the spam filters will catch up and stop them before they get to the spam folders.

Hi, yes, same here.  Mine are predominantly 'Total AV' 'Solar Panel' and 'Virus Check'.  No matter how many times I block the email and/or the domain, they flood my spam folder daily, and several times a day.  I have also replied on a similar comment.

The addresses are spoofed, you are wasting your time trying to block them.
