Starlink. Unable to access mail clients (Outlook, BT Mail etc. When connected to Starlink WiFi.

Hi

Had Starlink fitted and now unable to access email via mail clients such as BT Mail, Outlook etc. Constantly asked to sign in.

Seems to work OK on 4G/6G etc.

Same for my wife.

We're new to this, be gentle!

Re: Starlink. Unable to access mail clients (Outlook, BT Mail etc. When connected to Starlink WiFi.

If you are no longer a BT Broadband customer your BTMail email accounts will have been "downgraded" to BTMail Basic which can not be used with email clients and email apps. It can only be used with a web browser (webmail).

See link.

Re: Starlink. Unable to access mail clients (Outlook, BT Mail etc. When connected to Starlink WiFi.

That would appear to be for a BT Premium email account.

Are you able to log onto your email account using a web browser. BTMail when using Starlink?

It could be that Starlink are doing the blocking particularly as your email accounts work with 4/5g and if they work on other wifi connections.

You could try calling the BT Premium email team on 0808 100 6778 - and inform them that it would appear that your use of email clients is being blocked when using Starlink but I would not be surprised if they state that it must be Starlink that are doing the blocking.
