Is there currently a problem with email clients such as Thunderbird being able to log on to the mail.btinternet.com server? I've been using Thunderbird for a month on my new PC and it's been working perfectly until this morning but now this message comes up after a while.
I still have my old PC which used Outlook Express for email and I tried that to see if it worked and no it doesn't which makes me think the problem is with BT, not my computer(s).
Needless to say I have gone through all the server settings, username/account names and passwords and nothing has changed since yesterday when it was working fine.

Happens all the time, do nothing and service will be resumed.
Presume you can still access your mail via webmail.
Thanks for your reply, yes I can access webmail no problem at all. The issue seems to be my email client logging in to the BT server.
