Too many emails

I am getting the error Too many messages (2.4.6.2) (Error code 421).  Just when I really need to send things out.  I have tried to send ONE message!

Hi @Frogmodem, welcome back, and sorry you're getting this error message.

Is this error on the BT email app, webmail, or are you using an email client such as Outlook?

Apparently you have too many messages in your sent folder. I had 900 + and the system did not like it.  There is no details on how many you ate allowed. I reduced mine by 30 and it allowed me to continue. Job Done.

I rather suspect that 18 months on the OP has sorted his problem.
