Hope someone can help me with this - I can't find anything much through Google and the rest.
Some years ago, I set up an email account for my daughter. This was a subsidiary account (don't know what the official BT term for these are, I'm afraid) but basically, it hung off my own account as the actual account holder. This works fine. However, she is now grown up and married and we feel it would make more sense if she had an account piggy-backed on her husband's BT account. She wants to keep her existing address since it is tied to so many on-line services etc - Amazon, her bank, the NHS, her employer, Ebay - all the usual suspects.
So - the question is: Can I/we transfer her existing email address from a subsidiary account under my account to a subsidiary account under her husband's account? If so - any guidance as to how to go about it. If - as I suspect - this isn't possible, can anyone suggest a decent alternative?
Many thanks in advance for any help.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Go to the manage email section of your MyBT, click on 'See options' for the address in question and select 'Give this email address'.
You can give it directly to your daughter. Use the 'share with someone without an email address' option which will prompt her to set up her own BTID.
Thanks very much for your prompt response. I must say, I don't find BT's on-line help terribly easy to navigate.
