I am unable to connect to the bt mail servers with Outlook but I am able to connect using my phone so i know that my password is correct.
I have anothe mail account on outlook and that works fine
I am using imap and the account was working ok on 04/02/19
This problem has been going on for years. The best thing to do is nothing. Do not change any settings or password or delete and re-set up the account. The problem usually resolves itself in a day or two.
I have been checking my maill for the last couple of weeks and this keeps happening just about every other day one day it will connect the next it will drop this is on my BT Mail account through Yahoo and yet My old Sky account which also uses Yahoo is stable
Is there any thing i can do
Log onto your BT account and set forwarding up to forward your emails to your "old Sky" account and you will be able to receive your emails through that or alternatively set up a gmail account and again set up your BT email to be forwarded to that.
