Unable to receive IMAP email from Premium mail account

At some point today after around 10 AM my phone, using the GMail client started to inform me that it had failed to logon to the mail server. When I noticed I tried entering my password and authenticating, which failed. I logged onto webmail to ensure that my password was still valid and that the email account was not locked. There have been no changes in my account that I am aware of and it has been working for years without issue until today.

I have tried resetting my password, deleting the account from my device and re-adding it, after a couple of hours wait but I am so far unable to set it up. Are there any service issues with respect to email ongoing at this time?
