Unable to send emails on ipad or iphone since 2 March 2018

I can receive them but not send.  I have tried various suggestions on help boards but cannot access the outgoing mail server to put in my username and password which some help sites have suggested are now mandatory.  this area is all grey out.  I have tried deleting and reloading email app as well.  Any ideas please?  thank you

Bt email unable to send emails on iphone or ipad for over 2 weeks

Checked various fixes on forums but cannot get into the out going mail server to put in username and password as it is all greyed out.  Does anyone have any ideas please?  thanks

If you have changed your password, when you change it on an iPad/iPhone it may only change for incomimg mail.

 To change the outgoing mail password you have to go into Settings; then scroll down to Mail, Contacts, Calendars. 

From there select the BTinternet account and select the account where it is listed under IMAP.   

You will find the details for the account and can change the password for the Incoming Mail Server there, but the outgoing mail server simply shows SMTP and mail.btinternet.com 

If you tap on the outgoing mail server it shows that it is 'on'.  You have to tap on that Primary Server in order to find where the Outgoing password is hidden so you can update it.
