Thanks, If its in the morning it should be ok up to about Midday then I'll be out for the rest of the day. other wise Friday should be ok.

Not sure if it helps but got 2 emails regarding pw changes , both were identical but for same account as detailed above. Dated 26th @ 8:41.

The team emailed me to say they've reset the password for you and sent login details. Can you follow the emails for me and see if you can get in? I'm about to run tests on your home connection so if you're at home you may notice it.

@DanielS,

Ok thanks, i have 2 emails on my main email to say the pw is changed  on the affected email i have not recieved any login details. Not sure what u mean. Only link is bt.com. do u mean i should change the password again and see if it works.

I'm not sure how to do that as I can't login to myBT until I know the master pw, since they changed it I cannot log in without it. I can't login on on my main id as that not the master for myBt anymore since you changed it. Its not letting me in on my old master details

Not sure what to do without a password I know. Please call me now so we can resolve this.

Hi @unwina,

To reset the password it needs to be done through the forgot password route since we can't get in at the moment.

The link for that is here: BT Forgot Password

That will ask you to put the BT ID name in and then click on next. From there, you can either have a 4 digit code sent to your BT ID email address or you can click on "Reset password with a security question" to change your password to one of your choosing.

If it can't be solved today I'll have one of my colleagues continue to chase it with our BT ID team until it's fixed.

As soon as I'm done with my tests I'll give you a call.

@DanielS,

I suddenly realised I could do what you suggested so whilst you were writing your response I did ok. Thanks I got that bit working and it seems to have been fixed I haven't tried the transistion from email to manage account yet so will try that.

Haven't seemed to be affected by any testing of the BB/Line as yet
