Wasted much time trying to log in but visited Community in the end. Stopped me from doing other jobs. Should have gone to Community first before wasting time with BT Help? Recently upgraded Windows10 which has slowed everything up and introduced Windows defender.
I have the same problem. I wonder if it’s affecting people who pay especially for email and not broadband.

Recently been having a lot of trouble logging in to my online BT/Yahoo email. This message comes up:
This site cannot be reached
email.bt.com refused to connect.
I have a broadband package and still had the problem.
I have managed to log in to email but it is very slow running
I have just tried to log in to my email account and message came up 'this page is not available'check internet connection etc. After several attempts with same response the last time I tried I got msg 'email.bt.com refused to connect. I am receiving emails from bt on my phone ok. I last used email on this computer yesterday and everything was working fine. Any suggestions would be gratefully rceived.
Email doesn’t seem so good since BT changed from yahoo.
I have very slow access too
Try going to BT.com and clicking email at the top of the screen
I have exactly the same problem but am still receiving emails on my phone
Service is back, logged in quickly as usual.
Have just successfully accessed email via IMAP and by web mail, so problem seems to be fixed.
