Web mail message rules / filtering where have they gone?

Go to solution

I have previously set message rules to filter specific messages to specific folders.

I have just logged in to web mail via Firefox on my iPad for the first time in ages and don’t see messages rules / filtering.

Has this function been removed or is it some quirk of accessing web mail via my ipad rather than my desktop pc?

Thanks

B R

Rules settings are found by clicking on your userneme at the top right then going to settings.

If you can not access them try using the "Desktop" version of the browser or try a different browser.

Hi DS

Thanks for your reply.

That’s reassuring to hear.

I’m not able to access my Windows PC just now so can’t check.

Odd that using a browser on an iPad Pro doesn’t show message rule options.

Ive attached a screen shot showing what I see.

I do not use a browser on mobile devices. It is far better to use an email app but I have checked on my mobile device using a browser and it shows the same as yours but when I go into the browser's settings on the device and change it to "Desktop view" the Rules become visible.

Thanks for your help in confirming / clarfying what I was seeing.

Very odd that the Rules feature requires extra steps and fiddling to be able to see it. I'm curious to know why that would be.

Websites these days invariably have 2 versions, a desktop version for larger screens and a reduced functionality version for mobile devices with smaller screens.
