Will we loose our BT email address eventually

When I was migrated to EE my question was about my email, which I have had for past 14 year.  No I could still use my BT email so all sorted but is it!!

Would I need EE email address and apparently answer is they dont give email addresses.  Instead they assume you have g mail outlook etc.

Is there going to be a time in the future when my BT internet email ceases to be.

@Jaytwotwo BT stopped providing email accounts to new customers in 26th October 2022.

So eventually the customer base still with email address will gradually decrease over time.

In these days of folks continually changing provider, ISP based email addresses are more of a liability than asset.

A portable address such as Gmail is a better option.

In reply to your question... There are apparently at present no plans for BT to close its email service to users who presently have an account.

That is not to say there could never be plans in the future so the advice above is good advice.
